Senior MIS Project Lead

Salary £31,331 to £36,298 per annum (pro-rata if part time) together with USS Pension benefits, if required.
Information Services and Systems (ISS) provides library, academic and corporate ICT services, management information, media and careers services to the staff and students at the University. It also provides services to other academic institutions, project partners and the general public.
ISS seek to appoint a highly motivated individual who will work with the CIS Project Manager to drive forward the implementation, through a structured project framework, of key projects relating to a range of services provided by the CIS teams.
The postholder may manage multiple concurrent projects and will be responsible for gathering requirements, project planning, monitoring, management and delivery as well as more general tasks including the reporting of outcomes and findings to stakeholders, general project administration and communication.
The postholder will be expected to work with the project manager and deliver these projects within the agreed budget whilst achieving the objectives and deliverables of each project. The postholder will be responsible for writing project documentation and reporting to the project manager and if required to internal and external project sponsors and funders, and will be expected to report to project monitoring meetings.
The postholder will be responsible for the co-ordination and completion of their projects and to this end will perform a variety of tasks, sometimes within tight deadlines. The role requires the ability to adapt to changing demands and conditions.
The postholder will report to the CIS Project Manager and relevant Project Steering groups. They will be expected to monitor work and resources, organise tasks and report progress to senior managers and stakeholders. They will also aim to improve project administration.
