Madagascar Capacity Building Advisor

MSH seeks a Capacity Building Specialist to work closely with technical staff on the conceptualization, development, implementation, and evaluation of field activities for anticipated public health programs in the country.
This position is contingent upon project award and funding.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Capacity Building Specialist will be responsible for the implementation of capacity building and provision of technical assistance to field activities. S/he works directly with partner organizations, communities and other resource users to execute the various activities.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Minimum of a Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Public Administration, Public Health or related field is required. 2. At least 7 years’ experience working on public health programs. 3. Be able to clearly demonstrate his/her understanding of the current scientific literature and global knowledge of innovative primary healthcare approaches. 4. Demonstrated working experience in Madagascar. 5. Understanding of the socio-cultural issues and nuances of working in such communities is highly desirable. 6. Should have considerable experience and technical expertise working with community-based organizations, NGOs, and host-country governments. 7. Fluency in French and English.
