SOAS is the world's leading centre for the study of Asia,
Africa and the Middle East. The Language Centre is now looking to
appoint a specialist to the above role supporting the teaching staff and
web technology.
You will use your technological skills of web design to translate printed course materials into feature-rich electronic course materials, and to further develop and implement technology in support of Language learning. You will support teaching staff, other staff and students in their use of educational technology and an on-line learning environment.
You can work independently to meet deadlines, and have excellent skills in web design and learning technology. You have experience in supporting the design and user experience for virtual learning environments such as 'Moodle', plus proficiency with Microsoft Office and an interest in new products and approaches. You will also need good oral, written and electronic communication skills and can work effectively in a team.
