The Department boasts the best developed undergraduate and postgraduate Music Technology programme in the country, a state of the art music technology studio and a comprehensive collection of relevant library material. Apart from its basic focus on teaching and research in the field of music technology, the programme is closely linked to the Department's unit for film music, thus unlocking the huge creative and commercial potential present in this medium.
Duties:
- Assuming responsibility for all aspects of the Department's Music Technology programme;
- teaching Music Technology subjects at all levels;
- supervising postgraduate students at Master's (and possibly Doctoral) level;
- contributing significantly to the Department's research profile and/or creative output;
- providing input into the Department's unit for film music;
- contributing in a positive manner to the Departmental goals at all levels.
- Senior Lecturer - PhD or equivalent qualification in the field of Music Technology.
- Lecturer - Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Music Technology.
- Senior Lecturer/Lecturer - An established profile as university lecturer; proven expertise in the theoretical and applied domains of Music Technology.
- An established profile in the field of Music Technology, specifically as researcher and/or composer;
- experience in the field of music recording;
- the ability and positive attitude to function with ease in a multilingual environment.

Please note that the final interviews will be preceded by a public presentation on your professional expertise of approximately twenty minutes and a fifty-minute teaching lecture.
