Apply to join the Fundraising & Supporter Development Office with its impressive, well established track record of success. A single fundraising office is now working in a joined environment to raise funds from patients, trusts and foundations and individuals in support of projects for teaching, clinical care and research. Fundraising across Guy's and St Thomas' Charity, King's College Hospital Charity, South London and Maudsley Charity and King's College London harnesses a level of collaboration and scale not previously seen in the UK, and promises to shape the future of healthcare through discovery and innovation.
One of the few UK higher education fundraising offices to have successfully closed a multi-million fundraising campaign, they have now publically launched a groundbreaking campaign, World questions|King's answers, with an ambitious target to raise £500 million by 2015. The campaign focuses on themes built around the university's research strengths, including Neuroscience & mental health, Leadership & society, and Cancer.
Details The Database Assistant occupies an important role in the dynamic and high achieving Fundraising & Supporter Development team, helping them achieve ambitious targets by ensuring the information held in the database is accurate and up to date.
Working closely with the Database Coordinator (Fundraising), this is a key role in ensuring that information held is accurate, comprehensive and effective. The office depends on this information to reach their challenging objectives, with potentially far reaching implications if there are inaccuracies within the data. The role encompasses downloading information from our alumni website, updating database records, assisting in the provision of data selections and segmentations, and helping with project related tasks.
The existing team is constantly seeking ways to improve. To join us you will need to be highly motivated, hard working and keen to make the most of your skills and experience. Most importantly, you will have the ability and willingness to learn.
The successful candidate will have excellent IT skills and the ability to communicate clearly and assimilate information accurately.

Salary The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications, within the Grade 3 scale, currently £18,868 to £21,802, per annum plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.
Post duration Indefinite contract.
