(Cardno) has an immediate need for a Manager, Business Development to provide leadership in expanding our market position – both in terms of existing service lines as well as new strategic areas.  The Manager will be responsible for the entire life-cycle of the business development process from early identification, capture management, marketing, and proposal management.  This position requires knowledge and experience in international donor assistance, effective networking with potential partners and clients and hands-on experience with the business development process. This position is a management position reporting to the Business Development Director and is located in Arlington, Virginia Qualifications:   Master’s Degree in related field, or appropriate combination of Bachelor’s Degree and relevant professional experience (including field experience) Five to seven years of professional business development experience in the context of US Government and other donor-funded programs Solid understanding of USAID’s project design and development process and the factors important to evaluation committee decision making End-to-end experience leading and developing USAID proposals, including a clear understanding of how to strategically read an RFP, key roles and responsibilities on a proposal development team, and proven capacity to deliver high quality, winning proposals Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, time-management, presentation, budgeting, and research skills Solid interpersonal, networking and cross-cultural skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex pursuits Ability to establish solid working relationships with clients, program management, technical staff, and diverse staff in various other business areas of the organization Willingness and ability to travel as needed Excellent verbal and written communications skills US work authorization required Special Instructions:   To submit your application, click the Apply Online button to create an account or log into your existing Cardno account.  No telephone inquiries please.
