Team Leader: SE Asia Anti Trafficking in Persons Program


Coffey is seeking expressions of interest  for the role of Team Leader for a large regional anti-trafficking in persons program due to commence in the first half of 2013. Coffey will be bidding for the multi-year program to be based in Bangkok, Thailand, with operations in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Burma, Indonesia and the Philippines.
Building on previous phases of assistance to Anti Trafficking in the region the program may:
  • Improve the region’s ability to protect, care for, and advise victims of trafficking;
  • Strengthen the national and regional legal frameworks for anti-trafficking;
  • Support criminal justices response to trafficking in persons from prevention to prosecution.

  • Responsibilities:

    The Team Leader will be responsible for overall project management to ensure the achievement of project results and objectives.
    The Team Leader will provide leadership and strategic guidance in programming of activities and engagement of partners; staff development and teambuilding and in the proactive management of program risks. 

    The Team Leader will be responsible for sound financial and administrative management of the program; the management and performance of  project staff including long and short term advisors; mobilisation of program activities; the development and implementation of work plans, operational budgets and performance monitoring plans. Coordination with AusAID and its government partners, other donors and partner organizations is a key component of the role.
    Requirements:
    • Regional experience in Southeast Asia;
    • Experience with criminal justice and law enforcement responses to trafficking in persons;
    • Understanding of and familiarity with trafficking victim protection and advisory services;
    • Demonstrated knowledge of global and regional anti-trafficking policies and practices;
    • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership in management of programs of similar scale and scope requiring high levels of collaboration between donors, government and institutional partners;
