The Programme Funding Department sits in the Communications and Fundraising Department and is responsible for developing and supporting funding proposals and reports for WaterAid from institutional donors (multi-laterals, bi-laterals and larger foundations).
With growth in income from restricted sources there is a need to develop a more robust system of recording financial information about institutional donors.
You will be required to work closely with the finance department and other fundraising departments in UK to manage the current system of reporting and lead on the development and rollout of a new system.
To do this role you will need to have substantial previous experience in managing the finances of grants funded from restricted sources like DFID, EC and foundations and experience in developing budgets. You will also be a good communicator and be able to work alongside a number of key stakeholders across the organisation.
Organization Description
We work with local partners to help communities access safe water and sanitation. And we use our experience and research to influence decision-makers to do more to provide these vital services.
We only use practical technologies and make sure the right skills exist in the community so they can keep them working long into the future.
By working with local partners we are able to invest in the future of local communities so that they can continue the good work. This is an essential part of our work as we believe it is the most progressive and sustainable approach.
Yet the sheer scale of the crisis means that we can't solve it alone. So we work with communities to influence governments and other service providers to prioritise safe water and sanitation.
The incredible generosity and commitment of all our supporters – individuals, institutions and companies – is behind everything we do.
