Environmental Officer
£21,383 – £25,504 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance
The University of Nottingham has a strong sustainability agenda and is committed to delivering environmental performance improvements. Working within the Sustainability section, the main focus for this role will be to assist with projects that deliver carbon savings and environmental performance improvements. The successful candidate will work with staff and students to help engage with the sustainability agenda and will provide support and information.
We are looking for individuals with knowledge of environmental issues relevant to the higher education sector with a ‘can do’ attitude and an effective approach to dealing with problems.
Candidates should be qualified to HND level or equivalent in a related energy or environmental field, have excellent IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft office and be able to analyse data and statistics. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also essential as the successful candidate will focus on supporting and facilitating staff and student interaction within our programmes.
This is a full-time permanent post.
