The role
We are currently seeking a talented Principal engineer - Tunnels.
With a minimum of 15 years' commercial experience in the tunnel industry business, you will play a key role in:
- Business Development. Maintaining existing and developing new client relationships.
- People Management.
- Managing work technically and contractually to ensure that it meets technical requirements.
- Project Management. Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
The main focus of this position is People & Project Management, as well as Business Development. With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- 15+ years of practical experience in the Tunnel industry with specific experience in the design of tunnels in concrete and steel.
- Bachelors Degree (Engineering) or Equivalent. Masters degree is desirable.
- Knowledge of relevant local and international codes of practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment.
- Able to undertake occasional travel (domestic and international).
