Project Description:
The project Capacity development for Water Supply and Sanitation Authorities in Tanzania aims at enabling Water Supply and Sanitation Authorities (WSSAs) to manage Water Supply and Sanitation in a business oriented manner. Specifically, water supply utility managers, technical and commercial managers and other senior staff will participate in a variety of capacity development measures implemented by the project to enhance their capacity to provide a reliable and affordable WSS within their mandated areas on a sustainable basis.
The capacity development program should benefit basically all WSSA in Tanzanian.
At the same time, some of the regional town-WSSAs are earmarked for infrastructure investment, the implementation and operation of which requires improved levels of management skills and are therefore accompanied by adequate capacity development measures.
The period of this assignement will be from October 2013 to December 2015 (27 months)

We are now looking for an International Senior Expert in WSS management - Teamleader with the follwing Qualifications / experiences:

Job Description:A broad range of Capacity Development measures will be implemented, incl.:
- Provision of relevant and up to date reference material to WSSA staff;
- Implementation of follow-up/feedback workshops and in-house training for members of WSSA board implemented to improve the relationship between WSSA Board, management, staff and customers;
- Field visits and regional water sector meetings will be accompanied with support and coaching.
We are now looking for an International Senior Expert in WSS management - Teamleader with the follwing Qualifications / experiences:
- Extensive experience in organization of commercial utilities;
- Master’s degree or recognized professional qualification in a relevant subject;
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience of which at least 5 years should have been as a manager or team leader in developing countries, ideally in the region.
- Experience with GIZ financed assignements will be an asset.
