Energy and Sustainability Manager
As part of Southampton’s change programme we have restructured our functions. This has created a leadership position within our energy and sustainability team, focused on the delivery of our low carbon city strategy. A key priority within this is our programme of retrofit, energy saving and CHP/District Energy projects. The manager will also oversee the delivery of our ambitious flood risk management programme and lead our team of sustainability specialists.
You will need a proven track record of developing and delivering bold and innovative energy and sustainability projects and programmes at a city scale. You will also need to be a strong and creative negotiator who can thrive in a political environment. Skill in partnership working will be particularly important, with an ability to work closely with senior managers and political leaders across South Hampshire and to build highly effective relationships with private sector partners across the sector.
With your well-developed leadership skills, and an excellent understanding of energy and sustainability issues, combined with a desire to be the best in your field, then this could be your next career move.
