Kimberley Underground Mine JV

Kimberley Underground Mine JV is situated in the town of Kimberley in the Northern Cape. The Mine consists of 3 conventional slushier drift block cave mines.
Support Worker (Scoop)

Tasks and responsibilities: • Be responsible for differentiating between the different ore and waste in their respective ore passes • Break big rocks into smaller pieces at the tipping site • Clean the tipping area • Comply with safety procedures and policies • Assist in performing risk assessments (General and Mining) • Hard facing • Install scoops • Repair scoops, pipes and tracks.

Minimum requirements: • Grade 12 • At least 1 year’s mining experience.

Other skills/competencies: • Ability to assist the Fitter or Boilermaker • Welding and cutting • Block cave assistant • Material handling.
