You will lead the provision of water asset and services planning within a team environment and provide effective leadership and guidance to ensure quality delivery to clients. You will contribute to the financial and long-term business viability of the business by delivering projects and services in a focussed, driven and effective manner. You will be able to raise the profile of the Department and effectively cross market the activities of the team to broaden its client base and to ensure financial viability as well as maintaining and developing key linkages with other areas of the Department.
You will manage the provision of a range of strategic planning studies and specialist advice to urban infrastructure owners, promoting an integrated approach to the management of urban water supply, sewerage, and stormwater services, based on “best practice” and sustainable economic management.
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in and knowledge of the best practice management of water supply and sewerage, including the governing legislation and policies, strategic operational and financial planning, strategies for service pricing and developer charges, resource conservation strategies and integrated water cycle management planning. In addition you will have a sound understanding of investigation, analysis and design processes for water supply, sewerage and urban drainage infrastructure projects.
You will be experienced in coordinating specialist consultants and have leadership and consulting abilities. You will have high level client liaison skills. You will be committed to continuous improvement principles to deliver better outcomes for the organisation and its customers and possess a collaborative and flexible leadership style with a very strong emphasis on coaching and mentoring.
To be considered for this position it is essential that you hold an appropriate degree in natural resources, environmental science or engineering and hold a valid NSW drivers licence.
