Tertiary qualifications and practical experience relating to surface water hydrology, groundwater and hydrogeology and the potential water-related impacts associated with activities such as coal seam gas and coal mining development, including the communications aspects, would be an advantage.
The Office of Water Science has numerous vacancies at the APS6 and EL1 levels. The successful applicants will lead assessments of coal seam gas and coal mining projects that assist the Independent Expert Scientific Committee advising on projects and/or the development of bioregional assessments and/or future research priorities and projects as well as those projects that are already underway.
The level of these positions will be determined following completion of the selection process and will be commensurate with the skills and attributes of the successful applicants.
