Senior Manager Impact Assessment and Evaluation

Fairfood Operations Department is currently looking for a:
Senior Manager Impact Assessment and Evaluation
Full-time (40 hours)
Purpose of the position
Strategically, Fairfood International uses its advocacy interventions to encourage transparency, innovation and change in policies and practices from Food & Beverage companies. The Senior Manager Impact Assessment and Evaluation works closely with the Director Global Operations to:
• Measure the impact of Fairfood International’s advocacy interventions
• Evaluate the activities of project teams in order to establish the effectiveness, efficiency and relevance of these activities and provide recommendations for improvement
• Contribute to the creation of datacollection systems and instruments
• Assists in the creation of monitoring reports
Department
The Operations department provides support to the other departments and the Board of Directors on operational and strategic issues. The department consists of experts in the field of Finance, Human Resources, Quality Management, ICT, Legal and Evaluation and Impact assessment. It is led by the Director of Global Operations, who is a member of the Board of Directors. 
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate the measurement of impact
The Senior Manager Impact Assessment and Evaluation acts as the manager for impact measurement at Fairfood. He or she will manage studies to establish impact and coordinate the collection of data needed for this, together with managers in project team. The Senior Manager Impact Assessment and Evaluation will also develop instruments and systems to assist managers in the projects to collect data on impact and helps these managers to develop their intervention strategy.
2. Evaluate project activities
The Senior Manager Impact Assessment and Evaluation coordinates the evaluation of activities implemented by the project managers. The focus of these evaluations will be on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of these activities and establish the relevance of individual projects. The Senior Manager Impact Assessment and Evaluation will make sure that these evaluations can be used for both formative and accountability purposes. He or she will therefore use participatory evaluation methodologies.
3. Provide ad-hoc evaluation services
The Senior Manager Impact Assessment and Evaluation will execute evaluations on specific topics as requested by the Board of Directors.
4. Assist in the preparation of management reports
The Senior Manager Impact Assessment and Evaluation will support the Director of Operations with the creation of quarterly management reports for the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board and other external stakeholders to which Fairfood has a reporting requirement.

- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly, nationally and internationally
- Fluency in written and spoken English is pre-requisite; additional knowledge of other languages is an asset

Knowledge
- University degree on Sustainability, Development Studies or Economics (MSc or PhD)
- At least 6 years of research experience, with demonstrated experience in executing impact assessments and evaluations
- Extensive international work experience and knowledge of the food industry and/or agriculture
- Knowledge of development issues

Fairfood International remunerates its staff in line with industry standards, including a gross salary of €50,368.05, a personal budget in lieu of pension of €4,029.44 and reimbursement of work-home travel.
