Coordinator, Professional Development Programmes [Team Lead]

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Supervising members of the Professional Development Programmes: Fuller Apprenetice, WVI Fellowship, Intern Coordinator/Intern Programme and Externship participants
This individual is responsible for creating streamlined processes, effective leadership development and maintaining a successful retention rate once individuals have completed programmes. Is responsible for the coordination, management and performance evaluation of all PDP programmes and personnel.

These various programmes all intend to offer opportunities for young professionals to serve within the international NGO by contributing to various departments on ministry priority projects.
Fuller Professional Apprentice Programme: is designed to provide Fuller Seminary's top talented students who have graduated with a MA in Cross-Cultural Studies with a 2-year job opportunity to work alongside World Vision International (WVI) technical professionals, gain professional experience and build valuable NGO knowledge.
WVI Fellowship Programme: is designed to attract and empower diverse, passionate, Jr. level employees [who have no more than 5 years of professional work experience] through structured work assignments and engaging projects with stimulating hands-on field experience all aiming to serve the needs of World Vision.
Intern Coordinator/Internship Programmes: provides undergraduate, graduate or recently graduated students a short-term work experience with World Vision International. This programme seeks students who desire to work within the nonprofit sector, while obtaining professional skills, a broadened perspective and experience in a corporate environment.
Academic Externships - Creating new policy, process and procedure.
WVI U.S. Based Volunteer Programme: provide a non-paid opportunity for individuals to contribute to the WVI U.S. Based offices with support in various capacities and/or departments.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Set Vision
    • Manage and continue to grow Programmes partnership wide
    • Guide supervisors and other personnel in programmes
    • Recruiting/ marketing/interviewing/hiring for programmes


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

      REQUIRED:
    • Bachelor degree; or 4-5 years work experience
    • Proven experience working with staff starting a new career, coaching, guiding, advising
    • Knowledgeable in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes Databases
    • Strong analytical skills and an ability to effectively communicate results
    • International humanitarian work; Formal leadership

      PREFERRED:
    • Strong understanding of the World Vision mission values, structures, systems, policies and practices
    • Detail Oriented who can Multi Task
    • Excellent Communicator who enjoys empowering others
    • Talent and passion for organization and humanitarian work
    • Ability to work independently as well as an effective team member
    • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and represent World Vision in verbal and written forms
    • Ability to communicate effectively with people in different cultures levels of leadership etc
    • Innovative and creatively minded to develop market and grow programmes
