Development specialists Kosovo

Chemonics seeks qualified development specialists to manage the anticipated three-year, USAID-funded New Program for Non-Majority Communities in Kosovo. This project will seek to increase inter-ethnic cooperation in Kosovo, particularly between the Albanian majority and the Serb minority populations. The project will also seek to increase economic opportunities and the local government's efficiency in targeted municipalities across southern Kosovo. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.​
  • Technical specialists with experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Local governance
    • Local economic development
    • Civic and community engagement 
    • Youth and workforce development
    • Gender
        Qualifications:
    • Advanced degree in a relevant field required  
    • Minimum of five years of management experience in local governance, local economic development, or a related field, preferably in Eastern Europe and/or a post-conflict environment  
    • Success in building the capacity of municipal governments and local economies  
    • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills  
    • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity ​
    • Fluency in English and Albanian and/or Serbian required ​ 
  • Administrative and support positions:

    • Accounting
    • Finance
    • Human Resources Management
    • Grants Administration
    • Project Administration
         Qualifications:
    • Advanced degree or equivalent in relevant technical specialty 
    • Minimum five years of relevant work experience
    • USAID or other donor experience strongly desired
    • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
    • Fluency in English and Albanian or Serbian required
