An exciting opportunity has arisen for a leading violence against women and girls and/or gender and conflict specialist. Join us and you will lead the further development of our programme of work on violence against women and girls and gender and conflict, manage our growing portfolio of consultancy and research contracts, and provide high-quality consultancy advice to a range of multinational, government and NGO clients working in international development. To fulfil this role you will demonstrate high levels of professionalism, strategic thinking and rigorous analytical skills. You will be a strong team player and have excellent client and partner relationship skills.
We are looking for senior level candidates with extensive experience of:
• Working on violence against women and girls in international development at policy and
programme levels in a wide range of contexts;
programme levels in a wide range of contexts;
• Providing tailored technical support to development assistance projects that seek to address different aspects of violence against women and girls, for example within the health, education or justice sectors;
• Gender analysis in conflict affected states and adopting gendered approaches to conflict prevention and peace building.
This post is London based. We offer a competitive salary package depending on experience, with 25 days holiday with increasing allowance by year; pension available from 2013.
