Multi-Media Specialist


Overview: The Love146 Multimedia Specialist is a full-time position based out of the New Haven, Connecticut office that works with the Love146 communications team to produce high quality short film, video and other multimedia pieces for communications and marketing. The Multimedia Specialist is also responsible for developing website content in conjunction with the Love146 communication team. The Multimedia Specialist reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer and will work in close collaboration with the Communications Manager and Lead Creative Designer.
Job Responsibilities:
Video Production:
  • Film, produce and create motion graphics as directed by the Love146’s Communications Team for events and online distribution, using independent judgment, creativity, and computer equipment.
  • Discover and develop stories about child trafficking and exploitation, Love146’s field programs, and the movement’s all-star supporters.
  • Working closely with the communications team, storyboard video concepts for production.
  • Advise Love146 management on what is technically possible within creative production.
  • Convert Love146 documents, videos, audio files into suitable formats for downloading and distribution 
via the website
Website Management & Communications Collaboration:
  • Using the Love146 backend website platform contribute to the regular maintenance of Love146’s website.
  • Provide creative input into marketing and development campaigns
  • Ability to contribute to basic copywriting, website graphics, images and elements to maintain a
functional, appealing, user-friendly website.
  • Participation in weekly staff meetings, daily ‘roundtable’ style discussions, and conference calls with Love146 Programs field staff
Qualifications:
  • A strong portfolio with demonstrated ability to produce compelling, creative and high quality video.
  • Must be up-to-date with the rapidly changing field of computer/digital technology
  • Adept at project management, including time management and the ability to work within budget 
constraints, exercising judgment and discretion in completing assignments.
  • Thorough knowledge of After Effects, Final Cut Pro and other video production software.
  • Strong creative skills combined with extensive knowledge of design software, including the Adobe 
Creative Suite.
  • Basic html programming skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Drupal platform and Salesforce plugins a plus.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to think about the ethics of gathering film while interacting with 
sensitive subject matter.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work without supervision or pre-developed project terms.
  • Team player with the ability to work with supervision and pre-developed project terms.
  • Basic video and audio production skills with a strong knowledge of video and DVD production software.
