Program Assistant for Online Family Law Center Eurasia Foundation


Eurasia Foundation (EF), a US-based international development organization promoting civic and economic participation, is accepting applications for a Program Assistant for Online Family Law Center.
Program Summary
The objective of the Family Law Center at the Eurasia Foundation is to facilitate women’s access to justice through providing legal services and trainings.
Position Summary
Program Assistant will provide direct administrative and research support to EF Program Officer. S/he will manage site user records, including registration, completion of final assignments, and user surveys. Program Assistant will monitor courses, ensuring that courses are built properly, and executed according to Center’s policies and procedures. The Program Assistant ensures that the courses are functioning and monitors course participation. The Program Assistant will monitor student satisfaction with the course and report results to the Program Officer. This position is based in Washington, DC.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides administrative and logistic support to the Program Officer.
  • Provides administrative support for training courses and workshops.
  • Monitors, identifies and reports on learning, networking, and other progress towards the outcomes of the courses and workshops in the chat sessions, forums, and interactions of the course.
  • Liaises with the Program Attorneys to ensure course quality.
  • Ensures clear and on-time implementation of the courses, meeting deadlines and communicating with students.
  • Implements School policies and procedures in the course.
  • Maintains strong relationship with students while monitoring their progress.
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
  • Monitors the program on a daily basis to provide project updates and share relevant information on program activities and outcomes with program officer.
  • Maintains follow-up system for program management activities such as meetings, appointments, and deadlines etc.
  • Prepares tracking documents for program management activities, and update tracking tools regularly.
  • Works with Program Officer to market the program.
COURSE DELIVERY
  • Monitors rate and number of application acquisition during outreach campaigns.
  • Conducts outreach campaigns using Google Adwords, social networking and recommends other methods as needed for applications.
  • Administers new applications.
  • Sends admission, rejection, and chat scheduling emails.
  • Compiles applicant lists with demographic data.
  • Coordinates admission process with Program Officer and Program Attorneys.
  • Creates class roster with demographic data and course activity.
  • Enrolls students and manage wait-listed students.
  • Assists instructor in chat sessions.
  • Records outcomes from the course activities for donor reports.
  • Reports the quality of instruction and course delivery.
  • Writes, modifies, and edits course content based on the instructions given by Program Officer.
COMMUNICATIONS
  • Facilitates clear and effective communication between students and course instructor.
  • Drafts templates for mass email communications with the students.
  • Liaises with guest teachers and speakers to coordinate live chats with students.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: A BA degree, preferably in a relevant field such as development, education, social work, gender studies, international affairs, sociology, area studies or social science.
  • Experience: Work or education experience in Iran is required. Experience working on the web, including website editing, basic troubleshooting, and content management are required. Experience in education and with online education platforms preferred.
  • Other: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks are required. Computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and basic graphics are required. Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Fluency in written and spoken Persian is required and will be tested.
