Teaching Channel:Education Director


The Education Director is a newly crafted position at Teaching Channel with responsibility for the following:
Video Interface: the EducationD
irectorworks closely
with the production teamand the Executive Producer
on all video related projects. Responsibilities include: outlining
the educational objectives,
articulating the content goals,
working with school districts and other educational organizations tovet and select
teachers,
developing treatments andapproving lessons to be filmed,
preparing the teacher for filming, reviewing treatments to ensure targeted
and relevant educational content for our teacher audience.
Strong working knowledge of Common Core Standards and
theDanielson
Teacher EffectivenessFramework
is essential.
The Ed Director works with schools to ensure that all permissions are in place. S/he watches rough cuts and final cuts to shape the final videos for the website.
Video on the Web:The Education Director also supervises all
video
descriptions on the web, from
the “questions to consider” on each video to the
relevant
tagging for search discovery
to the weekly newsletters
. The Ed Director
must have a strong understanding of web usage since she/he
will have influence
in all product development to ensure the product is aligned with teacher needs and t
rends.
The Exceptional Teacher Advisory Board(ETAB)
**
Tch has a 180 member Exceptional Teacher Advisory Board. The ETAB participates in three Tch reviews of our material per year and keeps us apprised of their learning needs. The Education Director manages the ETAB, designs our questionnaires, selects videos for review, works with Otivo to manage the analysis of the data, ensures that the datais posted
on our website in blogs, newsletters, and in webinars. S/he will drive the discussion of that data gathered from the ETAB in all Tc
