REPORTS TO: Program Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
SUPERVISES: 0
POSITION SUMMARY:
Manages activities of the Child Welfare – Early Learning Partnership. Manages implementation of project strategies and attainment of project goals. Develops partnerships, fosters linkages, and develops sustainable systems collaboration between the child welfare system and early learning providers in King County. Coordinates work of other project staff and contractors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures development and implementation of all project components and systems are in alignment with private / public grant guidelines, and, each partnership agreement:
  • Assists Program Manager with project planning and implementation.
  • Assists in developing a network of early learning providers.
  • Facilitates training for early learning providers, child welfare staff, veteran parents and court personnel.
  • Provides coordination and support to project partners.
  • Assists with the development of systems to support project implementation and evaluation
  • Ensures that all records and statistics are appropriately maintained and reported to ensure compliance with public and private grant regulations
  • Works with evaluation team on the development/implementation of the project evaluation.
  • Supports the Program Manager and Evaluators in disseminating the project findings at state and national meetings and conferences.
  • Coordinates and monitors the contracting process with each project partner
  • Conducts regular planning and implementation meetings with partners to review progress.
  • Coordinates the development of a project work plan and monitoring plan.
  • Prepares all required grant reports, working closely with fiscal and evaluation staff.
  • Advocates for the values of a diverse population within CHSW and the Community
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s Degree in public administration, human services, or related field is required, plus five years project management experience Or, a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the skills and abilities required for the position.
  • Public speaking experience required
  • Knowledge of child welfare and/or early learning systems/practice and the impact of trauma on development
  • A demonstrated record of success building and managing community partnerships
  • Ability to work effectively with and relate to people from diverse economic, religious, racial, ethnic, and immigrant backgrounds
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to successfully lead diverse groups and achieve a collaborative purpose and facilitate large and small groups
  • Must possess strong human relations skills to communicate and work effectively within a culturally diverse work environment and community
  • Proficient in MS Office
