Principal Tailings Engineer

Working with the Group Manager, as Principal Tailings Engineer, you will be joining a design team which has earned a reputation for delivering high-level, innovative and cost-effective solutions to their clients.
Working on a range of technically challenging projects focussed on the design, analysis, laboratory testing and construction services relating to various Tailings Storage Facilities, you will be responsible for:
Technical direction of tailings design studies
Project Management
Client relationship management
Resource leadership and management
Contributing to the strategic development of the group
Ideally your skills and experience will include:
Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental or Geotechnical engineering
Provision of practical solutions to mine tailings, mine waste, heap leach and related earth structure design projects
Strong understanding of conceptual mode development
Demonstrated ability in mine waste management
You will lead with an inclusive management style that trusts and empowers your staff to achieve the desired results for your clients. You will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package, circa $160k, with some flexibility depending on the skills and experience you will bring to the team.
