Coatings Engineer

Our client is a dynamic Australian company providing multidisciplinary engineering and project delivery to brownfield and greenfield operations. With an expanding portfolio in the hydrocarbon sector, there is an attractive opportunity on offer for a Coatings Engineer.

The main purpose of this role will be providing technical leadership and expertise in matters relating to coating and corrosion prevention. You will oversee the successful day to day completion of the engineering work scope. In addition, you will perform materials and coating selection studies and be responsible for procedures, design and fabrication specifications. When required you will provide on-site support, both onshore and offshore.

To be considered for this role, you will have an advanced diploma in engineering. You will have extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry and have prior experience with offshore projects. You will have the ability to provide materials selection expertise based upon knowledge of metallurgy and engineering materials. In addition, you have proven experience in writing, checking and issuing design documents for the purchase of line pipes, valves, coatings and other production equipment.

This position represents a unique opportunity to work on a major LNG project, a competitive rate is available to the successful candidate dependent on experience.
