We are representing a well-established client who has developed a reputation for delivering innovative and cost effective design and engineering projects across Central Queensland. They are a boutique office working on large scale projects including civil works, subdivisions, commercial, residential and heavy industrial. The company focuses on providing expertise in engineering and project management and currently forged an alliance with contractors working in the Oil & Gas environment.
The Position
The role will require you to oversee a small team, working together with the Town Planning group, to provide expertise in the areas of project management, design, contractor management and inspection out on-site. You will focus on stormwater, road works and subdivisional type projects. The team environment is amazing where you can rub shoulders with some of the best - they are handpicked specialist! Skills Required
• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering;
• Knowledge of the software applications Civil 3D and understanding of the Australian Road Design principles;
• Knowledge of TMR standards;
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a small team;
• Previous experience in leading a small team to produce a high output of work;
• If you are working towards your CPeng qualification or eligible for your RPEQ / NPER certification that would be advantageous;
• Previous experience in contractor management would be advantageous;
• Exposure to Water Reticulation Analysis would be advantageous;
• Exposure to Project Management of subdivisional work in QLD highly regarded;
• Great leadership and verbal and written communication skills;
• There at times will be tight deadlines that you will be expected to deliver on which will need your careful attention and an ability to work well under pressure.
