Programme Coordinator International Baby Action Network Penang, Malaysia

A small public interest NGO working on international health and nutrition is looking for suitable candidates for the position of Programme Coordinator/Administrator. We are based in Penang, Malaysia but our reach is global. The position is open only to Malaysian nationals. Responsibilities for the position include: • Networking with international and local partners to generate ideas for new and existing programmes. • Developing a strategy to fundraise by identifying institutional funding opportunites and preparing fundraising proposals. • Managing programme budgets and annual planning cycles and ensuring quality impact. • Training, advocacy, documentation and research under existing programmes. •Writing reports, proposals, editing and proofreading – including collating materials for reporting purposes. • General office administration Requirements: • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, preferably Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Political Science, Marketing, Journalism or Mass Communications with at least 5 years of working experience in the related field. Applicants who have studied, lived or worked outside Malaysia with interest in public health and nutrition issues will be given preference. • Required language: excellent English, oral and written. Knowledge of other languages is an asset. • Computer skills: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word. • Other skills: writing, editing and public speaking.
