Logistics Manager, Laos


£27,868- £31,012 per annum total package dependant on location (circa $44,500 - $49,500 per annum)
MAG saves lives and builds futures by working with others to reclaim land contaminated with the debris of conflict, to reduce the daily risk of death or injury for civilians, and to create safe and secure conditions for development. Our vision is a safe and secure future for men, women and children affected by armed violence and conflict. We are currently seeking an experienced Logistic Manager to join our programme in Lao PDR on a fixed term basis.
Reporting to the Country Director, the Logistics Manager will be responsible for completing a full assessment of the programmes logistics function, identifying opportunities to improve the delivery of logistics, procurement and fleet management services to the wider programme. A key element of the role will be to develop capacity in the national logistics team and support the implementation of improved systems and best practice in logistics and procurement in line with donor and MAG policies and procedures
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in assessing and analysing the logistics function, and in designing and implementing systematic improvements. They will also be able to demonstrate the ability to capacity build national staff in a structured manner. The ability to work in a manner mindful of culture is essential, and previous experience in the region would be desirable.
Due to the availability of funding, we would like the successful candidate to start in this role as soon as possible.
