Legal Entity Controller United States

The Legal Entity Controller has overall responsibility for consolidation/end to end accounting for 10-15 U.S. legal entities, including sign off of full set of books. These legal entities are a combination of Corporate, Investment and Operating companies.

Core responsibilities will consist of:
·Analysis of financial statements and certification of monthly submissions.
·Balance sheet analysis and narratives.
·Review balance sheet account reconciliations.
·Balance sheet forecasting.
·Cash flow leadership including preparation, review, forecasting, coordination and training.
·Legal entity governance including coordination of the set up, closing & accounting for unusual transactions of legal entities.
·Process improvement initiatives including SAP optimization projects, IFRS and other Operational Excellence work.

Requirements:
·CPA.
·Strong technical accounting experience.
·Proven leadership, initiative & problem solving skills.

Function Specific Activities:

Prepare accounting entries to properly record business and financial transactions in Company financial systems.

Review inputs to verify that data entered is complete and accurate.

Ensure accuracy of accounting transactions.

Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and account balances are accurately stated in accordance with GAAP and Company policy. Research and resolve any issues identified.

Identify, classify, maintain, and protect files, documentation and sensitive information consistent with record handling and retention requirements.


Education:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Related Work Experience:At least 5 years

Technical Skills:
Technical Accounting. Knowledge of and skill in applying accounting theory (e.g., internal controls, financial statement preparation, accrual accounting) related to mergers and acquisitions, treasury, insurance, tax and trade accounting, including researching and
investigating the affects of new accounting pronouncements on the company


Financial Policies and Procedures. Knowledge of the Company's financial policies and procedures including Standard Practices and Procedures, Standard Accounting Codes, Reporting And Budgeting, Code of Business Conduct, ISSCOM, as well as internal policies and procedures specific to area of responsibility (e.g., controller's group, fountain,
operations, manufacturing).

Coding. Ability to code transactions (e.g., journal vouchers, invoices, invoice deductions) in various systems.Consolidations. Knowledge of the Company's financial statement consolidation process including the impact on management reporting.Reconciliation. Ability to compare data from various data sources and identify inconsistencies or variances.
