Campus Recruitment Assistant

Opportunity:
Citizen Schools seeks a Campus Recruitment Assistant (CRA) who will work with our Recruitment Manager to increase awareness of our organization at their school, increase student’s interest in the National Teaching Fellowship and perform various recruiting duties and activities as needed. The CRA must be a creative, enthusiastic, driven, and dynamic individual with a passion for connecting and engaging caring adults to work with the communities we serve.
The CRA is a campus-based addition to the Citizen Schools Recruitment Team. The CRA is a dedicated recruiter whose primary responsibility is to source program staff (National Teaching Fellows and Teaching Associates) for Citizen Schools. The CRA plays an essential role in building a local candidate pipeline for Citizen Schools and in introducing college students to the organization’s powerful and rewarding employment opportunities.  The CRA will generate a high-quality applicant pool by raising Citizen Schools’ on-campus profile, navigating the unique campus culture, making contacts with key academic departments and student groups, and marketing employment opportunities to college students. Finally, beyond building awareness, the Campus Recruitment Assistant retains primary responsibility for turning interest into applications, and hires into acceptances.
The Campus Recruitment Assistant role provides the right undergraduate with the opportunity to build professional skills in written and verbal communication, problem-solving, project management, marketing and outreach as well as relationship management and event planning.
