Senior Water Management and Treatment Engineer - Canada


We are seeking an Intermediate to Senior Water Management and Treatment Engineer to work with our GeoEnvironmental consulting team in any of our Canadian locations (Vancouver, Saskatoon, Yellowknife, Toronto and Sudbury). You will work on projects for Canadian and international clients where your duties will include:
  • Evaluating, selecting, and designing water treatment alternatives for impacted surface and groundwater at metal and energy mines;
  • Developing water management plans to optimize the reuse of impacted water, from conceptual design to detailed engineering;
  • Providing operational support and troubleshooting to existing facilities;
  • Performing bench and field testing of mine water treatment alternatives and interpreting the results;
  • Providing regulatory support to clients, including interpretation of environmental regulations, and communications with regulators and non-governmental organizations; and,
  • Preparing technical reports and presentations.
The successful candidate will have:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering (Post graduate degree preferred, but not required);
  • Mine water treatment and management experience at hard rock and energy minerals mines;
  • Eligibility for professional registration as a P.Eng.;
  • 5 years or more of related work experience; and,
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
