Job location(s):SchipholThe position will be responsible for ensuring that assigned activities of the corporate finance department are controlled in such a way that reliable and accurate financial information can be provided, at all times, to internal- and external parties. The information will be in accordance with the established accounting policies of Cargill.
Cargill B.V. Corporate Finance covers Corporate Accounting, HR Accounting, Tax Accounting and Corporate Financial Reporting. The team is responsible for the accounting activities of various functions and over 10 holding companies. The internal and external financial reporting covers 2 large groups of companies and the holding companies.
The successful candidate will be based in Amsterdam and will collaborate with BU’s and functions within the country. The position reports to the Corporate Admin Controller.
Major Tasks
The position holder will actively support, assist and participate in:
- The consolidation process in line with the US GAAP requirements for the Cargill entities based in the Netherlands;
- The planning, documentation and communication within the team and Reporting Units
- The compliance with all government reporting requirements;
- The accounting for a number of holding companies;
- Miscellaneous job-related duties for Corporate Finance as assigned. E.g.: US tax reporting and preparation statutory reporting, projects.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding of industry and/or business environment;
- Proven understanding of internal controls, process implementation and improvement;
- Experience with reporting tools (Cartesis) & accounting systems (JDEdwards, SAP);
- Curiosity and ability to quickly learn & adapt;
- Good communications skills;
- Highly motivated self starter;
- Professional accounting qualification;
- Minimal 3-5 years financial experience;
- Knowledge US GAAP;
- Fluently in English
- Fluently in Dutch;
- Good understanding of MS office;
- Should be capable to work under pressure in order to meet the Cargill deadlines.
