Secure Software Specialist

PwC Consulting has strong IT Security & Privacy practices and is continuously looking to reinforce these with experienced professionals.
At the moment we're looking for a Secure Software Specialist with experience in the field of software and security to join our team.

As a Secure Software Specialist, you will:
·         advise and help our customers in evaluating and improving the security of software being developed or bought;
·         lead and carry out software assessments (architecture reviews, penetration tests, code reviews, ...);
·         improve the development practices of a customer (e.g., through requirements analysis, architectural standards, coding guidelines, and so forth);
·         manage a team of people working in project mode, meaning you'll need strong communication skills;
·         investigate and implement effective solutions to common security problems.

Your profile

You have

  • a degree in computer science or equivalent by experience; accreditations such as CISSP, CSSLP, GSSP and/or ECSP  are a plus
  • a minimum of 7 years of relevant IT security experience in domains such as software development, security assessments and/or SDLC
  • practical experience with software development, such as in Java (J2EE, Spring, Struts, Hibernate, ...) or .NET (C#, .Net MVC, WCF, ...)
  • proven experience with assessing common (and less common) software security vulnerabilities (cfr. OWASP Top 10) and understand how these must be addressed in software
  • experience with security test tools (black box scanners, application proxies, code review tools, ...)
  • familiarity with secure development lifecycle models (e.g., SDL, Touchpoints) and software assurance models (e.g., OpenSAMM).
  • project management, presentation and communication skills. You are fluent in English and Dutch and/or French
  • the flexibility to work in different environments and to easily acquire new skills and expertise; you enjoy working both in a team and on your own in a fast-changing, international environment
