Financial Management Trainee (Accounting & Control)
As a Financial Management Trainee you will be a member of the Accounting team that works closely with the trading/forwarding/plant/logistic teams and you will be heavily involved in the daily business of Cargill.
During the European Graduate Program, you will acquire a large amount of knowledge on country local/worldwide finance and accounting activities that support our businesses.
You will undergo a specific training program covering additional hands-on experience that will provide the foundation for a potential management position.
In the European Graduate Program, you could expect some or all of the following experiences within the first two years with Cargill:
- Initial assignment to a job
- On-going formal soft skill development and technical training
- Mentoring provided by a Cargill manager
- A short-term assignment in another country
- Networking with International colleagues
In this position the Financial Management Trainee will handle general accounting and reporting responsibilities including assistance with preparation of P/L close and have responsibility for A/P, A/R and Balance Sheet reconciliation.
The trainee will complete special projects which include new corporate initiatives and will perform various other tasks as assigned by manager
Qualifications
- Recent university degree in accounting or control
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel and flexibility to relocate to other countries
- Fluency in English required. Knowledge of Dutch language or another European language will be a plus
- Demonstrated natural leadership ability
- Self-starter; highly motivated and able to work independently
- Teamwork; ability to work in a multi-cultural and cross functional team
