Third Sector Capital Partners Analyst


Overview of Full Time Analyst Position
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative and growth-oriented firm that is a leading practitioner in the fields of Pay for Success and Social Innovation Finance. The Analyst will play an important role in directly supporting partners and senior analysts while managing interns on deal transaction support, business development, and strategic communications. You will also be given the opportunity to take the lead on a research based project that impacts the future growth of the firm. The Third Sector full time analyst position will provide compensation commensurate with experience.
Position Responsibilities
Deal Support: The primary responsibility of the full time analyst will be to work directly with partners and senior analysts, providing due diligence and project management support for 1-3 Pay for Success deal assignments, including:
  • Developing financial cash flow modeling for government partners and social service providers, including modeling impact scenarios, projected cost-benefits and financial structuring
  • Supporting senior analysts in conducting secondary research and primary landscape analysis on potential interventions suitable for Pay for Success
  • Preparing for and participating in on-site client meetings and calls
  • Supporting overall project/process management with clients
  • Supporting partners in capital fundraising of selected Pay for Success project
Business Development: Supporting partners in researching and creating initial prospect conversations with potential state governments, programs and providers to participate in Pay for Success. Assist with grant proposal research and development.
Candidate Competencies
We are looking for an entrepreneurial young professional with the highest ethical standards who is comfortable in a fast-paced, hard-working start-up environment and excited to take on increased responsibilities as part of a small team.
Successful candidates should have:
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience (Required)
  • Demonstrated interest in Pay For Success and Third Sector Capital Partner's mission
  • Strong analytical & quantitative skills; advanced Excel & PowerPoint proficiency and financial modeling experience (Required)
  • Ability to conduct qualitative research, analyze data, hone in on critical issues, synthesize, and organize and communicate conclusions and recommendations
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills; open, informal style with a commitment to honest feedback and team performance
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and tight time frames while producing exceptional deliverables
  • Humility with a service-oriented mind-set
  • Prior experience in consultancy projects (Preferred)
  • Previous work experience in a small entrepreneurial start-ups (Preferred)
