Logistics Specialist - Customer Services


Responsible for day to day movement of freight. This includes working with forwarders, logistics companies, trucking companies, customers, vendors, internal office, etc. Also includes generation of necessary international and domestic paperwork.

Responsibilities
• Movement of freight both domestic and international

• Shipment documentation

• Daily tracking of shipments

• Backlog and status of all orders being processed

• Coordination of shipments

• Miscellaneous warehouse functions

• Freight cost analysis and rate comparisons

• Continuous improvement initiatives

• Customer Service

• On time deliveries

• Freight management

• General office

• Special projects as assigned

• Work in a team environment

Required Skills
Degree and/or 5 year Logistics experience required. Must have demonstrated computer skills and demonstrated communication skills. Must have the ability to set priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines and must be able to work in a team environment.
