Supply Chain Planning Consultant (Manager Level)


What your job will look like

Within PwC's Consulting services, we help our clients create value for stakeholders by determining and safeguarding an organisation's optimal position, we combat and resolve crises and improve core processes. Our Consulting department has a strong Supply Chain Management practice and is SCM market leader in the Benelux. We have a broad range of capabilities, including planning process and organisation assessment and design (from strategic planning and S&OP to detailed scheduling) and planning strategy optimisation (MTO, MTS, FTS, etc.) as well as working capital and tactics optimisation.
 
As a Supply Chain Planning Consultant at manager level, you will:
  • leverage PwC benchmarks to identify and implement process and organisation improvement opportunities
  • assess, design and implement planning processes together with the supporting organisations and systems
  • analyse current planning strategies and the inventory situation of the customer to propose improvement initiatives on decoupling points, safety stock optimisation, etc.
  • more specifically as a Manager, you will prepare, plan and deliver all aspects of large business transformation programmes:
    • manage and support mixed PwC and client teams
    • work with client resources to learn their organisation, operations and requirements
    • analyse  issues identified and develop an approach to manage and solve these proactively
    • develop a tailored approach enabling a successful implementation and sustained results
    • develop long-term, qualitative working relations with your clients
As part of our management team, you will also contribute to PwC's international planning network by supporting collaboration and developing thought leadership.

Your profile

You have:
  • a master's in economics, engineering, business administration, sciences or comparable by experience
  • at least 5 years of experience in planning as a planning specialist, demand planner, master planner, S&OP planner or functional planning system specialist (in APS tools like SAP APO, OMP+, Oracle ASCP or others); previous consulting experience is a plus
  • the ability to combine specialist technical knowledge with consulting skills, working directly with management and employees at your clients
  • a client-centric mindset combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • project management, presentation and communication skills
  • fluency in English and Dutch and/or French
  • flexibility to work in different environments and to easily acquire new skills and expertise
  • an affinity with working both in teams and on your own in a fast-changing, international environment
