SRK (UK) is seeking a Senior Process Metallurgical Engineer to join an expanding team. The work will involve undertaking the following activities:
SRK (UK) is seeking a Senior Process Metallurgical Engineer to join an expanding team. The work will involve undertaking the following activities:
- Developing the hydrometallurgical capability and profile of SRK;
- Working as part of multi-disciplinary SRK teams providing input on world-class project development studies;
- Representing SRK professionally, to SRK’s clients and interfacing at all levels with the client’s management and operations (and those of their other consultants);
- Acting as project manager on projects involving other SRK specialists and sub-consultants; and
- Business development, including the generation of business from new and existing clients.
Essential Requirements of the role include:
- Degree or equivalent in Process Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering from a recognised institution;
- Chartered Engineer status and membership of an appropriate professional institute;
- Operational and technical knowledge of hydrometallurgical processes especially leaching, heap leaching, SX/EW, as well as general experience in mineral processing operations, flow-sheet development, laboratory and pilot scale testwork and design;
- Excellent report and proposal writing skills requiring strong English language skills (verbal and written);
- Business Development Skills;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Effective organisation and time management skills.
This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects in the UK and overseas and international travel will form a significant part of the role.
