 Job location(s): Rotterdam (Holland)

You are responsible for developing, maintaining and driving the efficiency and effectiveness of both the Change, Configuration and Release processes.  The goals of these processes are to ensure that standard methods and procedures are used to account for the configuration of the assets required for the delivery of the IT services.
You ensure that a considered approach to risk assessment and business impact are employed when processing changes to these services.


Major Tasks
  • You partner with application management, application development,  demand management, portfolio management, global business technology services, release management and business stakeholders  to gather data needed to perform change and configuration management
  • You are responsible for facilitating the changes within the Change schedules and you ensure that all changes are documented, verified and installed successfully
  • You ensure that all the changes have back-up plans, test plans and put implementation plans in place before the changes are implemented (part of post implementation plan)
  • You promote the benefits of Change and Configuration Management and IT Service Management processes
  • You oversee the Change Advisory Board or Release Control Board
  • You monitor adherence to the Change Management processes, policies and procedures
  • You are accountable for identifying and driving implementation of activities that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these processes
  • You schedule changes based on the impact, urgency and availability of technical resources
  • You ensure all Changes are assessed, approved, implemented and reviewed in a controlled manner
  • You monitor the creation of change management reports 
  • You oversee processes to ensure that  Requests For Changes (RfC) are completed and approved within agreed to timeframes 
  • You schedule and facilitate the Change Advisory Board (CAB) or Release Control Board (RCB). 
  • You document comprehensive impact and change collision assessments to facilitate the approval process
  • You schedule and chair emergency Change Advisory Board (eCAB) or emergency Release Control Board (eRCB) meetings
  • You are available during non business hours to support major events and emergency changes.
  • You partner closely with the QA & Testing Manager to optimize the release schedule
  • You partner closely with the Regional IT Business Partners and Global Business Process Managers to ensure regression testing is not becoming too burdensome relative to the release schedule
  • You work closely together with Solution Analysts and external service providers on critical and high priority issues and provide consultancy and input about the ongoing issues
  • You collaborate with the other businesses and ensure alignment of the execution of the processes to those businesses
  • You collaborate with ITSB Change Process Owners to ensure alignment with Cargill’s Global ITIL Processes
  • You collaborate with and influence key stakeholders, peers and leadership to ensure the changes are made to the application environment in a rapid but controlled manner

Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3 + years experience with IT Change and Configuration Management
  • 6+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • Thorough understanding of Change and Configuration Management with proven experience supporting this process within a large multinational company
  • Experience with facilitation and enforcement of procedures and processes across diverse geographic locations
  • An overall control-oriented focus to ensure processes and service are compliant and risk managed
  • Demonstrated ability of establishing and maintaining metrics based process improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong alliances with those outside of your immediate organization
  • Strong customer service mindset with ability to appropriately balance risk with service delivery expectations
  • Clear, authoritative, professional communications (listening, oral and written communications) and presentation skills
  • Experience negotiating effectively and tactfully
  • Experience facilitating cross functional meetings
  • Business fluency in English
    Experience managing the Change & Release processes in a SAP ECC 6 environment
  • SAP APO knowledge
  • SAP CRM knowledge
