The Organisation
Group Functions are the central core of non-technical expertise behind the smooth day-to-day running of BG Group’s business. This area comprises professionals in Finance, Human Resources, Investor Relations, Legal, Policy & Corporate Affairs, Secretariat and Strategy & Portfolio Development. Together they provide strategic direction and support to our Group Executive Committee, Business area managers, and Asset Management teams, helping to underpin our frontline business activities.
Position Summary
The Cash Management Analyst will report into the Cash Management Manager and shall be responsible for executing the optimisation of BG Group’s cash position via the application of forecasting and cash management techniques.
 
The jobholder will be required to assist in the development of the required framework and associated models to conduct operating cash flow analysis, to support the forecasting process and to consolidate the Group’s financial position.

The jobholder will also be required to manage elements of the working capital position, the intercompany funding process as well as payment, receipt and processing activities and will be entitled to recommend any decision conducive to increase efficiency of these tasks.
Key Accountabilities
  • To carry out Operating Cash Flow Analysis and Financial Position Consolidation.
  • Execute Cash optimisation.
  • Execute Global cash management bank selection.
  • Provide input to:
    • Working capital management.
    • Intercompany funding management.
    • Receipt management.
    • Payment processing.

Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attribute
Experience required:
  • Experience gained in a corporate Treasury or banking environment across a broad spectrum of Treasury products, including:
    • FX.
    • Money Market.
    • Short Term and Long Term Debt products.
    • Treasury derivative products.
  • Advanced understanding of international cash management and settlements processes.
  • Experience with planning, budgeting and forecasting.
Knowledge, skills and attributes required:
  • Treasury Qualification (e.g Cert ICM) is desirable.
  • Functional Skills in areas such as Corporate Finance, Funding structure analysis and Cash management.
  • Should have a Quantitative / Analytical mindset and Results orientation.
