Finance Officer (Funding)

Oxfam is looking for dynamic team player under Finance & System department. This is a regular position based in Dhaka of the Country Programme.

Finance Officer (Funding)

The Finance Officer (Funding) reports directly to the Finance & Systems Manager.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Prepare donor financial reports and review actual spending against approved budgets in the light of the contractual guidelines and timely submission. Study and support teams on donor compliance issues.
Support the Programme & Funding team to prepare funding proposal especially budget. Monitor restricted fund utilization and guide Programme team for proper and optimum utilization.
Identify training requirements for Partner finance staff and provide required training. Visit Partner Organizations as part of monitoring and provide coaching.
Qualification, competencies & skill required:

Persons with excellent knowledge and understanding on contemporary development issues ensuring Oxfam financial systems and procedures are adhered to.  Ideal candidates should have a minimum of 5 years work experience in providing a wide range of financial services to a reputed organization, with at least 3 years in International NGO.

Essential qualifications, skills and competencies include sound accounting qualification (M Com./MBA), a proven ability to interpret financial procedures and standards with computerized systems, analytical and planning skills, an ability to priorities own workload and a commitment to competently meet multiple monthly deadlines. Persons should have outstanding written and verbal communication skills both in English and Bangla, and show commitment to diversity and gender issues.

Experience of working with major institutional donor i.e. ECHO, EU, DFID etc. funded projects.
