Primary Purpose of the role
The Project Manager has overall responsibility, authority and accountability for successful execution of the project, within the boundaries defined by the company’s authority limits, or as delegated by his/her Business Earning Unit Director, this opportunity will require you to be a proactive team leader and manager in pursuing the overall development of our clients team in line with the company’s vision, mission and core values. You will be required to take overall responsibility for the management and control of all aspects of the project undertaken by Sepam , while working closely with the clients to ensure the completion of projects with “Unequalled Quality and Timely Service at a Competitive Price” while optimizing the utilization of resources and financial returns.
The Project Manager must manage the project and or contract/subcontracts in a safe and productive manner, and achieve project completion on time and to maximize the commercial return to the company whilst maintaining good client relationships.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Management and control of all aspects of the Project as assigned by the BEU Director in line with Sepam policies and procedures.
Planning of the works to ensure maximum efficiency and protection of the commercial position.
Maximise productivity by clear direction and control of the project team and all resources.
Manage safety on the project, ensuring compliance with all legal and company procedures, and promoting a positive attitude to working safely. Sepam have an objective in” ZERO INCIDENTS IN EVERYTHING WE DO”
Working within the company’s ISO 9001:2000 quality systems, ensure all engineering and construction activities are supplied to meet the Projects requirements.
Compile and issue all necessary cost and schedule progress reports in line with client approved Sepam policies and procedures.
Maintain full awareness of the total commercial awareness of the project at all times, ensuring delay/disruption and variation issues are managed in an appropriate and timely manner.
They will manage the construction supervision; engineering and labour force in such a manner that, the contract is completed to clients’s satisfaction and target profit margin is met or exceeded.
Travel overseas will be required, travel at short notice may also be required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
The successful Project Managers will have a proven Oil & Gas major project background working for a recognized organization. You must have a demonstrable knowledge and experiences of your project management.
Should be degree qualified in Electrical/ Instrument Engineering and/ or Management disciplines
Requires a general knowledge of foreign business practices and familiarity with working in an international environment.
Should be computer literate with basic programs.
