We are recruiting for Disaster Response Personnel - Trainee, who will work as part of a team in providing assistance operational management and coordination of relief assistance to people affected by disasters. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of a Disaster Response Team travelling into an emergency situation. S/He will assist with the implementation and establishment of disaster response projects during the early stages of an emergency situation as well as helping with recruiting, training and line managing local staff
The successful candidate will have the availability and flexibility to be deployed at short notice due to the nature of this post. S/He will have knowledge of disaster manager and a good understand of humanitarian and policy issue, together with programme management. S/He will also have the ability to demonstrate diplomacy, tact and negotiation skills as well as sensitivity towards different cultures
