Regional Manager - South America FMC Technologies Schilling Robotics - Macae or Rio de Janeiro


Position Summary
The Regional Manager, South America is responsible for providing customers with excellent customer service through the sale of quality spares, field and factory service, technical support, and training. The position is responsible for the overall performance of the sales, spares, field, factory and technical support departments by recruiting and developing staff, managing financial profitability, and developing client relations for each function.

  • Responsible for overall management of site, including personnel and facilities.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining standards and policies for the functions of providing customer support, repair services, technical support, technical training, field service, and product sales.
  • Prepare and manage annual forecasts and budgets.
  • Develop and implement company and regional strategic customer service and sales business plans to optimize product, parts, sales and service revenues and profits, including training.
  • Hire, develop, motivate and lead high performance service organization and ensure execution of aggressive plans and goals.
  • Ensure compliance to legal statutes and regulations as they pertain to FMC Technologies Schilling Robotics’ policies as well as local laws, rules and regulations.
  • Identify, assess, and recommend opportunities for new service revenue.
  • Maintain, develop, and grow relationships with existing customers through regular onsite visits to better understand the customer needs.
  • Partner with other regional and corporate leaders to ensure overall alignment with the business strategy.
  • Assist sales and customer service groups with global business opportunities and contracts.


Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology or related field and eight (8) years of customer service management or operations management experience in the offshore, oil and gas industry or similar environment.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of sales, customer support, and service issues gained through eight (8) years in the field.
  • knowledge of P&L, budgeting and forecasting responsibilities to include management of inventory for a service and parts distribution business.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of Subsea market dynamics and requirements.
  • Ability to manage remote operations with minimal day-to-day supervision.
