Public Opinion Researcher/Analyst (exploring voting behavior in Iraq and Kurdistan)

YouGov plc is seeking a public opinion researcher with experience of researching political attitudes and voting behavior. In particular, we require a researcher capable of designing quantitative research studies to segment electorates.
This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious researcher to work with a group of experienced country analysts, media experts and political strategists on a unique project exploring voting behavior in Iraq and Kurdistan.

Responsibilities:
You will design quantitative projects from inception (defining objectives, developing questionnaires) through to completion (analysis, writing up and presenting findings).
You will be working with alongside a small team of international researchers and a much larger team of Kurdish and Iraqi researchers, most of whom speak English as a second language. This team is talented and dedicated. All have several years experience of conducting market research across Iraq and Kurdistan.
You will review quantitative data, qualitative data and intelligence reports to generate insights about the developing ideas, attitudes and narratives within Iraq and Kurdistan.

Qualifications:
  •          Experience of segmentation research and analysis is essential.
  •          Familiarity with qualitative research is desirable.
  •          Familiarity with media consumption research is desirable.
  •          Knowledge of SPSS is desirable.
  •          Strong written and verbal English.
