Sales Director (Brazil)


Turnitin is the market leader in Plagiarism Prevention and e-Assessment tools worldwide, and is a fast growing and dynamic company. We are looking for an e-learning specialist to promote and market the products Turnitin and iThenticate to the Brazilian Higher Education market. The role will include developing strategies in the market alongside the team, account management, lead qualification, sales administration and basic customer support.  

Desired Skills & Experience

- 10-15 years’ experience working in e-learning sales in Brazil
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills
-  Ability to learn and follow through on problem resolution
-  Ability to adapt to flexible work schedule and evidence of working within a team
-  Ability to self-direct with minimal supervision
-  Good presentation skills
-  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
-  Potential to work in a project based changing environment
-  Fluent Brazilian Portuguese is essential and high proficiency of English is desirable
-  Education to degree level, BSC or BA equivalent (preferred).
-  Being proactive and flexible
-  Courteous and professional manner

Main Duties
-  Market research; identifying and approaching targets, collating data and qualifying leads
-  Being a point of contact with customers/partners and troubleshooting basic technical issues
-  Management of sales data in the CRM system Salesforce
-  Management of the renewals process in conjunction with the sales team
-  Possible travel to UK for product training and understanding the use of the Turnitin system
-  Work with the events manager to organise sales related events
- Work with our academic advisors to build an awareness of plagiarism as an issue in Higher Education institutions, and build relationships with local academics who specialise in this area
-  Managing the administration associated with tenders and consortium documentation
-  Deliver administrator and instructor online training sessions, on using Turnitin
-  Contribute to and manage specific projects in support of organisational targets
-  Any other duties as may reasonably be required by the company. The particular responsibilities of all members of staff are likely to vary over time, according to the needs of the service.
-  The post holder is expected to keep up to date with developments in their area and contribute ideas towards the improvement of customer relations in their section.
-  Travel within Brazil to visit educational institutions; holding meetings and delivering presentations
-  Available for regular conference calls with the iParadigms UK office
-  Coordinate communication of all customer-related issues to senior sales account manager and also work closely with iParadigms UK to ensure seamless flow of information.
-  Maintaining customer records;
-  Keeping records of visits and leads on CRM ‘Salesforce’
-  Create and generate reports to be used in regular conference calls with the iParadigms UK.

Based in São Paulo, Brazil, the standard working week is Monday - Friday, 8:00-16:00 with an hour for lunch. Times of work may be varied in future in accordance with the requirements of iParadigms Europe.
