A single fundraising office will now be working in a joined environment to raise funds from patients, trusts and foundations and individuals in support of projects for teaching, clinical care and research. Fundraising across Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity, King’s College Hospital Charity, South London and Maudsley Charity and King’s College London harnesses a level of collaboration and scale not previously seen in the UK, and promises to shape the future of healthcare through discovery and innovation.
One of the few UK higher education fundraising offices to have successfully closed a multi-million fundraising campaign, they have now publically launched a groundbreaking campaign, World questions|King’s answers, with an ambitious target to raise £500 million by 2015. The campaign focuses on themes built around the university’s research strengths, including Neuroscience & Mental Health, Leadership & Society, and Cancer. 
Details
The Supporter Care Coordinator will provide the first line of response to inbound donor and prospect communications and requests via phone, email and post. This will include taking donations over the phone, drafting and sending acknowledgements, fulfilling requested changes to details (e.g. change of address/ mailing preferences) and following up with additional information from other teams. The post holder will log and report on the breakdown of all inbound requests, handing off more complex queries or complaints to other teams where appropriate.
The post involves working effectively with multiple teams within Fundraising and Supporter Development and responding professionally to calls, emails and correspondence from a wide range of donors, potential donors, supporters, staff and alumni. The successful candidate will be organised, methodical, service-oriented and an outstanding communicator with an outgoing personality, able to quickly build rapport and adjust their tone and messages to empathise effectively with callers. They will be working in a busy team and must be able to remain calm and prioritise effectively under pressure.

Salary
The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications, within the Grade 4 scale, currently £22,700 to £25,504 per annum, plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.
