Project Summary:
The objective of SIAP-1 is to contribute to good governance in Indonesia by strengthening integrity and accountability in government – principally at the national level. It will do this by supporting governmental and non-governmental efforts to strengthen integrity and accountability. Two major components of SIAP-1 are: Supporting efforts by key accountability agencies such as the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Supreme Audit Body (BPK) to strengthen integrity and accountability in government. Supporting efforts to strengthen political integrity and accountability by reducing the influence of “money politics.” This will include support for efforts to strengthen the fair regulation of political finance and effective oversight and enforcement.
Position Summary:
MSI will engage the services of a Success Story Consultant to research, write, and format success stories detailing project achievements. The stories will be developed on topics agreed-upon in advance with the Chief of Party and follow standard USAID guidelines available on the Agency’s website. The consultancy is expected March 25-April 24, 2013 (10 hours per story for a total of 30 hours)
Please note: This is a local position. Only candidates with Indonesian citizenship will be considered.
Responsibilities:
• Research and determine story topics.
• Develop angle and outline and confirm with MSI standards.
• Develop three 1-page success stories complying with USAID standards.
Qualifications:
• Strong technical knowledge in integrity and accountability in Indonesia.
• Good understanding of Access to Information and public service monitoring.
• Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and work constructively with a range of individuals, including USAID mission, local partners and government officials.
• Good management and administrative skills.
• Experienced in maintaining networks with government, political parties and parliament.
• Bachelor (S1) degree in relevant field of work or related studies.
• Prior experience with governance programming.
• Have the capacity to work both independently as well as in a team setting.
• Willing to undertake field travel and work under demanding conditions.
• Ability to establish priorities and undertake assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
• Proficient in spoken and written English, and in the use of MS Office Software.
