Our mission is to change the lives of vulnerable children in impoverished urban areas by providing clean drinking water to orphanages, street shelters, rescue homes, schools, and children’s hospitals. Position Overview
Splash is seeking to hire the Director of Finance to lead and collaborate – as a member of the management team – financial management, strategy, reporting, scenario planning, and internal controls. This position works in close relationship with the Executive Director, the Board Treasurer, and the Director of Development, and builds effective relationships with the larger team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and with great precision even when managing accounting across multiple countries.

Roles and Responsibilities
-Act as financial partner to the Executive Director; contribute expertise to strategic planning, organization growth, fiscal soundness and efficient operations.
-Prepare budgets and forecasts.
-Produce timely financial reports including financial statements, audit, and tax reporting.
-Provide oversight of financial activity in overseas offices.
-Develop and monitor internal controls for both domestic and overseas offices that can scale with growth.
-Comply with domestic and foreign regulations regarding payroll, finance and taxation.
-Prepare grant-related budgets and reports, as needed.
-Serve as expert on the tax and financial reporting implications of various transactions.
-Review contracts, agreements, benefits, and insurance.
-Maintain collaborative relationships with bankers, insurance brokers and auditors.
-Supervise the bookkeeper.
Qualifications
-BA, with minimum five years finance experience in a non-profit organization, CPA or MBA preferred
-Experience in building organizational capacity
-Computer literacy required; excellent database, spreadsheet skills and word-processing; High-level of proficiency with QuickBooks required
-Experience with international operations and identifying and complying with various foreign taxes and regulatory issues
