Amadeus Director of Sales – Abu Dhabi

Job PurposeTo head and manage the Abu Dhabi market, paying particular attention to the overall sales function of the operation, for which the job-holder has a responsibility for market share, sales and commercial strategy.
Responsibilities
  • Define the Commercial and Market Strategy
  • Define product strategy and deployment in order to fulfill the market needs
  • Manage staff through “Management by Objectives”: identify and plan training, coach on an individual and team basis, motivate existing staff and recruit and select staff to match identified competencies and needs of Amadeus Gulf
  • Establish budgets with Amadeus Gulf Central Finance and control monthly in order to ensure that the budget is achieved (including management of the overall incentives to Travel agents)
  • Drive the Sales strategy through identifying potential customers, carrying out sales visits and seing throught the sales process personally
  • Ensure appropriate timely and accurate reporting (commercial statements, marketing plan and communication planning) and coordination with Amadeus Corporate Centers
RequirementsQualification & Education:
  • Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • MBA would be highly recommended
Experience:
  • Post holder must have extensive sales / strong management experience in Travel Industry in the Middle East (Minimum of 7 years experience). He/she must be customer-focused with proven achievements in customer service-driven environment. Prior experience working for a multi-national company would be desirable.
Training & Knowledge:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferably Arab speaking
  • Effective people management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills (including negotiation skills)
  • High computer literacy
  • Strategic planning and project management skills
